It’s been too long! Thank you all for your patience while I worked out where to take this story next.
I hope you don’t mind the little time jump. This feels like the start of “Book Two,” and I wanted to avoid repetition and begin where Carter and Isa are entering the next stage of their relationship.
If you’re annoyed that you missed out on them going through the motions of Carter getting into The Club as Isa’s guest, or the sex scenes that would have happened between the last chapter and now, let me know, and if there is enough demand, I’ll start working on some bonus content and deleted scenes.
I promise I wasn’t trying to take a shortcut. I truly wanted to avoid giving you more of the same. It’s why I was stuck for so long with this story and considered ending it.
If you have any requests for what they get up to in The Club, let me know! Fair warning, though: I plan to ease into it and build the tension.
Also, I wish I’d picked a more creative name than “The Club,” or at least connected it to my unfinished story, The Retreat. At the time, I thought it was funny because it reminded me of the bars my grandpa would go to when I was little: The Office, The Library... you get the idea.
